Why Scriblet exists
It started with a silence we saw coming.
Someone very close to me is having surgery on their vocal cords. Afterwards: a few weeks without a voice. No calling out, no quick word across the room, no good-night down the hall.
There are tools for this. Most of them are clunky, impersonal, or want an account before you can ask for a glass of water.
So I built Scriblet: you write a word, tap, and it's read aloud. Nothing more. So the silence doesn't take speaking away too.
And because a situation like this never asks whether now is convenient, Scriblet is free for everyone. For anyone without their voice right now, for a short time or a long one.

When the words are there, but the voice isn't.
After surgery
After larynx or vocal-cord surgery, the voice is often gone for days or weeks. Scriblet bridges exactly that time, until it comes back.
